BIKE KING RACING TEAM
Bike King is a community of cyclists who are passionate about the sport they love. The community is focused on providing a supportive environment for all cyclists. This includes the beginner cyclist riding predominately on the weekend through to cyclists riding competitively.
A number of members of the Bike King community competing in open category cycling events want to do so in a Bike King kit. With this in mind, Bike King members have developed a Bike King Racing team concept to promote this within the Bike King community.
Bike King Racing Team Kit
To ensure brand recognition and compliance with Cycling Queensland (CQ) requirements, we have a specific Bike King Racing team kit. The kit is available for purchase to Bike King members who want to compete in open road racing events.
The new kit is very different and turns heads when you turn up to a race. As a group it stands out in the Peleton so team members can easily recognize each other and leave in no doubt in the general racing community that Bike King is alive and going strong.
Bike
Club Approval to Compete in the Bike King Racing Team Kit
A CQ technical regulation makes it necessary that Bike King members must seek
approval from their respective bike club to wear the Bike King Racing team kit
in open (previously category 1 and 2) and restricted open (previously category
3) road events. The approval must be communicated to CQ by the respective
club.
Note: if you
don’t receive approval to wear the Bike King Racing team kit and you attend an
open road event, commissaries (cycling officials) are empowered to refuse
permission for you to race and/or impose a fine. To date clubs have
not sought to enforce the technical regulation but Bike King members who
attended a Level 1 Commissaries course conducted by CQ recently were advised
that club presidents have signaled an intention to enforce the regulation at
upcoming open events.
Ffast
Club Members
Bike King
members who are members of Ffast Cycling Club have already received verbal
approval from their club President to wear Bike King kits in open road
events. Written approval will be obtained and forwarded to CQ in

Ffast Bike King King Racing team members will be provided to the Ffast
president who will forward written approval for nominated members to CQ.

either David or Paul, please provide your racing category and CQ license
number.
Teams
Currently Forming
Teams are
currently forming in Masters Men’s B and C. There are plans to form a
Masters Women’s team.
If you are not
in one of the above categories, contact us about forming a team as there may be
other Bike King members in your category also wanting to join a team.

concept’ which is under the ‘Who is racing this weekend?’ section.
